At the end of April we will be training to Florence from the Lakes region/Milan and picking up our car (probably Avis) downtown on Borgo Ognissanti and then heading to Pienza via the Chianti Road. We are well aware of the ZTL issue getting out of Florence and were hoping someone here could give us some specific directions to best get us out of the restricted area in the direction of Chianti. Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions.
Here is a link to a post fellow forum member Roberto posted. He is very knowledgeable and offers excellent advice on this forum. Scroll to the very bottom to see detailed info.

Thanks JR...I have seen Roberto's excellent directions in my meanderings on this forum. Just wasn't sure if that was the best/only way to get to specifically the Chianti area. (Seems to me I saw some other directions specifically to Chianti area, but can't find that post now). I am assuming that we would follow Roberto's directions to the A1 towards Rome and from there exit at the Impruneta/Siena exit to get down into the Chianti region?
The starting point for navigation is Via Borgo Ognissanti 96, the Interparking Garage Europa. Past the bridge heading south the ZTL is to the east, but need to watch for designated bus lanes. Driving routes on www.viamichelin.com.
