On 8 Dec 2023, it is a National Holiday- Feast of the Immaculate Conception- this is very big in Sicily, but according to other travel forums not so much in other areas of Italy. Does anyone know if there are any activities related to this holiday in Florence? I read on another forum that on 7 Dec they do the Christmas Tree Lighting in the square (a day early to alleviate crowds), but what about 8 December? Special Mass?
