Florence Covid test before flight to USA?

looking for a (reasonably priced) place to get a Covid rapid antigen test accepted for return flight to USA (from PSA)? I know most pharmacies have tests, but are they antigen (accepted for USA travel)? And, what is approx. cost? Do they take reservations?

Thank you for asking this question. I was just searching the forum for the same information about getting a covid test in Florence. I am interested in learning about the options. Delta site indicates that an antigen test is acceptable for return to the USA.

Another RS travel forum thread indicated that covid testing was available at Farmacia Astrua not far from the Duomo for about 22 euros. We will be staying in the Oltrano.

15-20 Euro at the pharmacies (Italians pay Euro 15, but foreigners not covered by the National Health Service will likely pay Eur 20 or even up to 22).
20 euro at the Pisa Airport.
The Italian word commonly used for a covid test is TAMPONE RAPIDO COVID (tampone means 'swab').
It's a good idea to make reservations.

thank you! I'll have my daughter (study abroad) look into this. It's so nice to see that they're reasonably priced!

The pharmacy I used in Florence was Farmacia Astrua on Via de Martelli. My hotel was able to make an appointment for myself and my husband. The test took about 15 minutes and cost €20-€25. The test is accepted for flying back to the U.S.A.
