Can someone tell me what Piazza, street etc where City Hall is. I need to tell someone who is going there to get me official copies of my marriage certificate.

Remember to write a proxy to the person asking the certificate, with a photocopy of your passport or other form of ID.
If you were married after January 1st, 2008, your friend could also go to the PAD office at Parterre, Piazza della Libertà, where it probably could get a copy immediately. Earlier marriages should be manually checked against the books and may take several days to process. Everything duly explained, in Italian, at:

If you are an Italian resident abroad, registered with AIRE (Anagrafe Italiani Residenti all'Estero) at the City of Florence, you could go to the AIRE office on 174 viale Guidoni (next to the market). I always go there because there are no lines.
