Just wondering if anyone has attended a Sunday Service at either Santa Croce or Santa Maria del Fiore? We will be in Florence for 4 days - one of them being a Sunday and we are considering attending a service. We are NOT Catholic, but do attend church every Sunday. We do like the inside of Sante Croce MUCH better than Santa Maria, but would love to hear from those who've attended a service. Thank You. . .

I would go to the one at the Duomo (Santa Maria Del Fiore) at 10 am which starts with the morning praises, then at 10:30 they have the traditional Mass in Latin with Gregorian chants. I think that is the best experience. They also have one in English but I think it’s on Saturday afternoon.

We attended the Saturday night service at the Duomo and few weeks ago. We are Catholic so the service meant more than setting. I will say that it was smaller and thus more intimate.
