Has anyone used the Europa Car Rental at Via del Gelsomina 11? It seems a good location for easy out-and-in from Florence. We used to use the Hertz location in Central Florence but we don't want to use it anymore. Thanks for any responses.

When renting a car, check also prices with a consolidator. They usually get better prices rather than directly with rental car companies.
www.kemwel.com and www.autoeurope.com are two consolidators (part of the same corporate group) based in Maine that offer great prices. They work with Europcar, Avis, Hertz (and sometimes Maggiore). Check prices with both websites as deals change (although I generally found cheaper deals with kemwel, in spite of being both affiliated).
When I rented through the above consolidators (and I've always gone with their Europcar deal), I checked their pricing by location in Florence, and noticed that for the car class I was looking for, the pick up at the Via del Gelsomino office had higher prices for the same car. You may want to check that before picking up there. You could for example pick up at a cheaper location (like via Borgo Ognissanti or via Forlanini) and return it on via del Gelsomino.
Although I've not used that office, however I've passed in front of it many times. The office is indeed an easy location for those coming from Siena or from the FIRENZE IMPRUNETA A1 freeway exit.
