Can anyone recommend a delicious bakery in Florence?
I haven't been here, but I recently added this bakery to my list of places to try on my upcoming Florence trip: Antico Forno Giglio
This was my favorite bakery in the Oltrarno --- I ate lunch there several times because they also have panini and quiches and things like that: S. Forno (Santo Forno) Via Santa Monaca, 3r. Very nice people.
Forgot the link with photos of S. Forno: https://flawless.life/en/italy/florence/s-forno-panificio
My favorite is La Loggia degli Albizi for pastries. My brother and I went there several times for breakfast/snacks. We also loved the sandwiches from All'Antico Vinaio!!
Now that looks like a great place to stop at, thanks for the link.
I will definitely go there in September!
I have yet to visit Florence but will be headed there in September. Excited to be staying just a minute walk away from S. Forno! But another spot on my list is a pop-up bakery called Wild Buns Florence that definitely looks worth scouting out. Check their social media pages or online for current hours and location. Another I have written down is Melaleuca Bakery. Enjoy!
Thank you so much, everyone!!! These are great suggestions!!
Not as much a bakery but, we are traveling to Florence in September and the All' Antico Vinaio was highly recommended for lunch. The couple raved about it and said they went there 3 of the 5 days they stayed.

wine windows of florence. we took a pedicab we found near the carousel and asked for a private tour. i think we paid about 50E for around an hour and half. was so entertaining, he was taking opera singing lessons and sang to us, drove by this area with many wine windows serving wine and appetizers. this was an old historic area before that has opened up, rode thru leather class area, across the arno river to oltrarno and dropped us off at cafe/restaurant for lunch that he recommended.
we walked around the mercato with so much to see, do and places to eat. we also took a cooking class upstairs. have a great time and stop ant restaurant/cafe like we did to enjoy our meals.

Bakery for bread, focaccia, etc.(Forno) or for cakes and pastries (Pasticceria)?
