I am not having much luck finding a B&B just outside of the city center of Florence.I wanted to park and stay just outside and take a bus or cab into the city.I would even prefer the northern part of Florence as we will be heading for Lucca and Pisa. I could really use some guidence here.
Thank you in advance Leaving for Italy on November and will be in Florence on the 7th.

Villa Il Colle has good reviews on trip advisor -- about 7 kilometers from Florence.

I suggest you look in Fiesole b/c really easy buses into central Florence.

We were at Villa al Piano near Lastra a Signa. Very clean and reasonable, about 90 euro. Lena will take you to the train station and pick you up but make sure ahead. It is a little hard to find tho. Lena and Adolfo are fantastic, Lena is a great cook. Adolfo is a rascal and offers all sorts of after dinner drinks...beware of the digestive he pours, it works but powerful stuff. This is about 10 K from the Accademia in Florence. They do not speak English, there daughter does. We got a long fine. Would go back.
