Florence Apartments

Does anyone have an apartment(s) they would recommend for a family of four in Florence?

Canto degli Scala: https://www.cantodegliscali.com/ is just minutes from the Ponte de Vecchio. It is a beautiful early Renaissance townhome run by Marco and Allessio. The property is a B&B that has a 2-bedroom flat with a fully equipped kitchen. We stayed there with friends in 2023. We are going back in a few weeks and staying in one of their other smaller apartments. The rooms are well appointed and stylish. There is not an elevator. You don't say the ages of your family, but they have cots if you have a baby and are child friendly.

Sorry but I'm a solo traveller but . . . I've used VRBO exclusively throughout Italy for nearly 2 decades. I've never been disappointed or misled. In Florence, there are basically 2 target areas for me; Oltrano (across the river) and the Centro Storico (area around the Duomo). Both can be crowded but my experience has been in these old, wonderful buildings, the outdoor noise has a problem getting through the stone walls. Higher floors give great views, but be careful to get an elevator that fits more than one piece of luggage. The area around Santa Croce is not too removed from the tourist area. The area around the train station is, for me, a place I won't even consider. Good luck! Florence is beautiful and easy to walk, once you're away from the station.
