Florence and Venice reservation questions

Hi everyone.
What’s the best way to schedule the Accademia Gallery in Florence?
Same for St. Marks Basilica and Dodge’s Palace in Venice?
Thank you for any info. I scheduled the Uffizi in Florence and made a reservation. The web site is being finicky about scheduling the Accademia on the same day

Hello acmc,

The Dodge's Palace site is here: https://muve.vivaticket.it/en/tour/palazzo-ducale/2478 - it looks like you can currently order through the end year only.
A bunch of other sites are here: https://www.visitmuve.it/

But not San Marco that's here: https://basilicasanmarco.skiperformance.com/en/store#/en/buy

The basic reservation is entrance and there are add-on tickets for the The Pala d'Oro and/or the Museum. In my opinion the The Pala d'Oro - unless you're really into altars - is pretty mild and can be skipped. But I highly recommend the additional Museum ticket. Not only is the museum interesting it grants you access to the upper areas of the church and even roof balcony for view of the Grand Canal and Piazza. You can buy supplemental tickets to Pala d'Oro and/or the Museum in the museum itself.

There are also ton of combo tickets and bunch of Venice discount cards so it's not always straightforward.

Venice is amazing, Have a great visit!

It's extremely easy to buy the add-on tickets for the Pala d'Oro and the museum when you approach those areas inside the church. As of September the Treasury was closed (I think due to the tight quarters and the COVID situation).

Hello acmc, glad to help.

I was there in September. Entered San Marco during high water and they had elevated platforms to enter on, but the water had receded by the time we got done. The church itself was dry but the exterior entry area is at the low level of the piazza and subject to high water.

Venice is an amazing place all on it's own. See the sites but also leave time to wander and "get lost" and see what you find.

I was just there and I'm still jealous you're going. Enjoy!
