We rented a car in Florence and will drive to hilltowns of the area and stay at Montepulciano as a base town for 3 nights. I have some questions 1) will it be difficult to get out of Florence and not get fined 2) Is Montepulciano a good base to visit the hilltowns? and should we turn our car back after 3 days because our next sites are not car friendly (Pisa and Cinque Terra) or should we just keep it and have more freedom. We leave from Milan.
