Florence Airport to Lucca by Vaibus Line E1 ( shuttle bus)

Hi everyone,
I will be flying in to Florence Airport on a wednesday after the RS Sicily tour and I want to go directly to Lucca by bus. I have been to Florence and know I can take a shuttle bus from the airport to the train station there and then a train to Lucca but trying a more easier approach.
FLR airport web site has a great video of where to pick up the shuttle buses to go to Siena, Florence, and other towns etc. but they don't show the Lucca bus unless it is the same as the Prato bus. I just need to know where at the airport to pick up the Vaibus Line E1 to Lucca . I know it stops at the Lucca train station where I will be getting off since my hotel is close by.
If anyone has taken this bus before, your knowledge would really help so I am waiting at the correct airport bus stop. Also the price and how many busses per hour would help. I think it is about 6 euros and hopefully at least two busses per hour.
Here is the florence website showing bus connections: http://www.aeroporto.firenze.it/en/the-passengers/transport.html
Thanks,
Liam

Although I've never taken that bus from the airport, however it is certainly the bus stop pictured below, behind the car that is driving by. All buses going on the A11 freeway stop there. The 4 story building with glass windows in the background is the airport terminal.

Thanks Roberto,
On the airport web site they have a nice video and that is one of the stops on the video. Nice to see it in a real photo. Thanks again .

Roberto, I am making the same trip and am wondering if we need to find a way to buy bus tickets in the airport before we board Li-LU from FLR to Lucca. The Tarriffe ExtraUrbane on http://www.lucca.cttnord.it/Servizio_Extraurbano/P/293 (scroll down) looks like the fare is 0.80€ and they ding you another Euro to pay on board, for a total of 1.80€, is that right? The amount sounds low to someone who has to pay $30US for a bus ride home from the airport. Can I pay onboard?

The ticket paid on board should be 7€, only slightly more expensive than if paid on the ground.

That would be the sum of the biglietto a bordo of 6€ (FI LU is about 70km) plus the supplement of 1€ for the Florence Lucca segment.

Yes it is cheap, but not exactly 1.80€.

My husband and I are interested in doing the same Florence airport to Lucca trip at the end of April so I was glad to read your post with the information that it's possible to do. How did you know about it? Are you sure the bus route actually exists ( enough so that we can plan on it)? When is your trip planned?
Thanks!

I have not taken that bus from FLR airport to Lucca, but recently took the FIumincino Express bus from FCO to Napoli Centrale train station where we boarded the CV train to Sorrento. I was surprised it was so easy to take the bus directly (also alleviating the train from the airport to the train station and then train station to the town) as you are doing. We not only saved time by doing this, it was also much less expensive. The bus was only 22Euro if you did online ahead of time, but we paid 30 E cash per person as we were boarding. Our flight was 1.5 hours early due to strong tailwinds, so I'm glad we didn't prepay ahead of time. The website for the airport seems good, but do a google earth search too to see where the buses are waiting, just to avoid any confusion when you land. That area (from Firenze to Lucca) is absolutely beautiful, there are many gigantic nurseries with beautiful trees, shrubs and flowers. When we travel on the train in that area, I always opt for a window view and just enjoy the vistas. Good luck!
