Early flight out of Florence. Can anyone recommend an airport hotel with a shuttle really close to the airport. Need to be there at 4 am. Thanks, Naomi

The airport in Florence is close to the city centre, so I'd probably stay there. I'd ask the hotel staff to pre-arrange a Taxi at the appointed time. What time is your flight?

Our flight is at 6 am. Do you know how much the taxi fare is?

Check-in positions open at 5am. No need to be there at 4am. The airport is closed at night. The first flights depart at 6:15. The airport is small with small regional jets. There are few flights departing every day. Only about .six or seven departures between 6:15 and 7:30. Getting there at 5am is more than sufficient and the taxi ride from the city center is no more than 15 min. The airport is less than 4 miles from the historical center. Stay put at your hotel in the city center on the last night.
The taxi fare is under 30€ including night surcharge (applicable at that time in the morning) and luggage surcharge (1€ per bag). I fly out of FLR every year, including just a few months ago, so you can trust my advice).
