Florence Airport

2 hours before the flight if you have never been. It is a small airport.
There is a new tram outside of Florence Santa Maria Novella Train station that stops right there takes 20 minutes: https://www.aeroporto.firenze.it/en/the-passengers/transport/tramway.html

If you take this option there is a ticket machine right at the stop to buy the ticket which is 2 euros

I've never arrived at the Florence airport more than 75 min before a flight, and I've flown out of it dozens of times.

The airport is very small, the check in and boarding procedures are rapid. You will have plenty of time to spare if you arrive there just over one hour prior to departure.

Also no more than 5 or 6 flights depart from FLR every hour, even at peak time (early in the morning). Even pre-pandemic, in the peak summer months, there would be no more than 30-35 flights a day departing from FLR.
