Florence Accommodations Recommendation Request

Hello fellow travelers.

Looking for a good mid-range accommodation in Florence for next fall.
As it has been a few years since we were last there and I am hoping the "Steve-iverse" can come up with some current recommendations.

Grazie in advance and happy travels!!

I have stayed three times at the Locanda de’Ciompi and highly recommend it. It's a small accommodation owned/run by a lovely young couple and is about a 15-20 min walk from the train station. We love the neighborhood, especially the bars/ristorantes about the corner. The couple have been incredibly helpful to us each time we've stayed - helped us find lodging when our outgoing flight was cancelled; arranged taxi pickups; and - perhaps best of all - sent us to the best leather goods store in FIrenze. It's not a BnB but they provide a coupon for free coffee and pastry at an excellent shop down the street. (If it's important to you, the owners speak excellent English; they also helped me with my Italian!)

Casa per Ferie ….Borgo Pinti - a ‘convent’ acvomodation. We’ve stayed there twice. Great location, good price. Many of the nuns speak English. We booked the first time thru monasterystays.com, the second time direct whichhsabed some money.

No religious requirement to stay there.

We just returned from Florence (Oct. 2025), and strongly recommend Hotel Silla. It's across the river from the historic center, but just a walk across the bridge from the heart of everything. And the Oltarno neighborhood is quieter and has a strong local flavor.
