Florence accommodations in January 2025

Hello,

I will be coming to Florence in January 2025, to drop off my daughter to a Study Abroad program in Florence. It starts on the 15th, so we will likely try to get in a week earlier to get her generally situated.

The locations we have been given are the CET center at Via dei Renai, and another one at CET Center on Via dei Benci. These locations seem to be on either side of the river/canal.

I would be great to find an apartment to rent for 1-2 weeks in that area - 1-2 bedroom, with a kitchen etc so we can shop locally, and cook etc. I would like to stick around after the 15th so I can do some touristing. I think you need to get advance tickets to the museums etc?

Please let me know if you know of any such local apartments - would prefer locally owned rather than corporate. I don't have a sense for pricing yet, so any advice there would be appreciated as well. I am also investigating the best way to get there - looks like flights are to Rome are the best entry point - we are coming from California.

Thank you so much.

It looks like something is happening from Jan 15 - most places seem booked from the 15th. I will keep looking.

We just returned from our Road Trip from Florence and ending in Rome.

Reserved (rented) a car through Bookings.com and picked it up at FLR through Locauto and only needed my Massachusetts drivers license. https://www.locautorent.com/en/

We chose an Agritourismo in Impruneta, 25 minutes south of Florence. Facility gorgeous and the room albeit small had a full kitchen.
A full Buffet hot breakfast and bottomless cappuccion's were included. Reasonably priced at under $200usd/night.
This is an owner occupied winery and olvie grove. We would highly recommend this location, if you don't mind driving.

The drive is through winding roads with gourgeous scenery. The stay was comfortable and quiet. The food was delicious and abundant.

Hi,

We stayed in this one for a week in Sept 22.
The owner is delightful and the place is spotless.

This one appears to be in the same building going by the layout.

The building is secure, there’s a nice restaurant across the street (we went twice!), and there is small grocery store about a block away.
Walking distance from SMN station.
