4 young people traveling from Innsbruck to Florence this weekend and are looking for a safe yet central place to stay. Close to train station is OK as well. Thank you for your suggestions and time.

They have a website, very central, and recommended staying there May 2013 and May 2015.

We had a lovely stay at First of Florence last week. Very good value - not sure if they would have availability. Florence was PACKED. Try Booking.com.

Hotel Alessandra is terrific and affordable. It's very close to the Ponte Vecchio.

Thank you so much for your responses. As I was receiving a lot of "full" answers to my requests, my son found rooms @ Florence Dream Domus. I haven't heard of it but.... can only hope it's safe. This is a great forum because of travelers eager to share their experiences; good and bad. Your time and interest is greatly appreciated.
