Florence

Traveling by car from Impruneta area to Florence for a scheduled tour. Does anyone have any recommendations for finding a place to park near Ponte Vecchio?

Parking in Florence, it makes a difference whether you're looking for day parking or overnight parking? Which are you looking for?

Entering Florence from the south (via the three arched entries.) Stay to your left (I believe that we drove through the center arch and stay to your left.) There's public parking available through a ticketed gate - pay when you leave. All day parking cost us about 12 Euros. You will be about a 10 min walk to the P.V.

go to viamichelin.com, maps, navigate to the PV bridge area, enable the Transport layer of map detail and check Parking. It will then show you the parking near there. But you must also know where the ZTL (zones of restricted travel are), in Florence they have many cameras that will photo your license and months after your return you will receive $150 fines for every time your car drives past these cameras. There are multiple ZTL's and they basically cover all of the historical center, including where you want to park.' Good luck.
