Stephen, I agree with Frank - you need to clarify this question! If you're in fact asking about the round trip to climb the dome, that will depend on a couple of variables: > How much "traffic" is going up and down to the top. As I recall, some of the passageways are quite narrow, so "up" traffic has to wait for "down" traffic to pass. > For round trip, it will depend how long you want to stay at the top admiring the view and taking photos. I'd allow at least two hours round trip, just to be on the "safe side". Cheers!

You might want to climb the bell tower instead, and have views of the Duomo's upper part. Fewer people climb the bell tower, less time to get to the top.
