I have been seeing news reports of flooding this past weekend in Bologna and other Emilia-Romagna towns including, it looks like, Parma and Ravenna. I was fortunate to have been there in good weather just a week ago. I would be interested to hear first hand reports from anyone there now. I hope everyone is safe.
I just arrived in Bologna and the flooding is not impacting me as a tourist in the central part of Bologna. I was in Parma last week where it rained just about every day and Modena yesterday.
Passed through Bologna on Sunday and they had apparently had 4" of rain the day before. There are were some wet areas in the lower -1 level but they were working to clear them up so nothing serious. On the -4 (or is it -5?) track 16-19 which is the lowest level of the station there was some water "sprinkling" onto the platform at some the columns but no other signs of excessive water were visible.
Much of October has been super rainy in the northern parts of Italy after a really hot summer.
Hope everyone is staying safe,

We are supposed to be heading to Bologna tomorrow from Milan. Wondering if it is responsible to go given the emergency situation . Would be grateful for any insights.
We were in Bologna over the weekend. It was very rainy- everyone got soaked but lovals were out and about. The porticos were excellent. It has been dry the last few days. I would still go to Bologna, wedid not want to leave.
Thank you Becky - that is very helpful!
I am currently in Bologna. If you are in the city center, it is business as usual. Yes, there were some specific areas in the region that were hard hit, but there is no flooding in the part of the city where you are likely to visit as a tourist.
Thank you for the information Laura
