FLIXBUS — Reliable? Need to get to Bergamo airport.

I’m considering a flight out of Milan Bergamo airport, and it doesn’t appear to have train service. Rome2Rio suggests Flixbus. I’ve never used them. Are they legit? Reliable enough to get me to the airport on time? Safe for a woman traveling alone?

Any help would be appreciated!

I traveled on FlixBus from Wroclaw to Prague and felt very safe traveling alone.

My tickets, and especially extras such as luggage, were cheaper in non-dollar currencies.

Tip: I enjoyed the countryside view from the front Panoramic seats, which cost a bit extra.

Not sure if you know and so just throwing it out there if you are interested: there is a shuttle bus (atb.bergamo) from the train station in Bergamo to the airport and there is also a bus (Autostradale) from Milan central station to the airport.

I did not know about the transport from Bergamo train station to the airport -- thank you. I will look into that as well.

Thank you to everyone for sharing your information about Flixbus!!!

Flix bus is legit but not trustworthy. It's late more than 50% of the time when I used it and it,s not that clean inside the bus.

Lots of travel vloggers have taken Flixbus with a whole range of outcomes, do some Google and see what you see.

Apparently they've now expanded into trains as well.

Have to agree with Barkinpark. Our Flixbus trip ran very (1.5 hours) late and the bus didn’t look like it had been cleaned in recent history. That was for a cross country trip. Oh, and we had to wait for the bus on the outskirts of the city with no toilet facilities or shelter from the rain. And the toilet was out of order on board. It was, however, quite cheap.

Yikes, that’s sobering, haha. Since I need it in order to catch a flight, I won’t want it to be very late. OK, I will research further as you suggest. Thank you so much for the inside scoop, everyone.

I was not impressed with my one experience with Flixbus as it was also over an hour late. The bus was there but the driver was not.
