What are the best airlines to use for flying from the U.S. to Sicily? We need to fly into Palermo and out of Catania. Thank you.
It depends on where you are coming from. When we went we only had Catania as an option. We flew Delta but had a codeshare or similar when we connected thru Rome on ITA. I would use skyscanner or similar and look at your options. Or share where you are coming from.
Google Flights is the best way to identify such things.
I would be flying out of Tampa.
Check on Skyscanner and Google Flights.
Most flights from N.America involve a change of flight in Europe, commonly Rome.
Then you can fly from there to either Sicilian airport.
Be sure to book the two legs all on one ticket/booking.
This was another destination where I had better luck searching directly with the airline. Lufthansa had the best airfare (2020.) There’s nothing direct. I also found the price was significantly better flying into Catania and out of Palermo for some reason. Unless you’re 100% locked in, swapping those two may pay dividends.
