I am getting frustrated trying to plan and book my flights.I want to fly into Rome on Sept 17th and fly back to FLL from Dublin. I usually do not have a problem getting a flight from Italy to Ireland. I did all my own travel plans last year!! What happened? Either I lost my knack or patience or flying open jaw isn't as cheap or easy as it was. In your experience what is the best day to travel? We are pretty flexable I just don't want to waste a weekend ( example fly out on a Monday spending Sat and Sun wishing I was already there)!! Love to hear your views

I want to fly from FLL to Rome or Naples but my return would be out of Dublin back to FLL. I have found a cheap flight from Italy to Ireland. I am having difficulty getting a decent flight. I paid about 870 last Sept.

Not sure what you are asking. Generally mid week flights are cheapest but not absolute. Try Wed or Thurs. Flights in general are not as cheap as last year. Are you asking about an open jaw ticket or a three leg trip?

Try Kayak.com. It will give you all the airlines at one time. You may have gotten a really good sale last year, the airlines are not offering sales these days; apparently, they are still filling flights even with the sky high prices!

Unfortunately flight prices are simply going up, especially considering oil prices. Last summer I got my Rome round trip for 846 total, this year I paid 1600 for an open jaw Rome/London flight (granted, it's a 4 month stay which adds about another 400 from if you stay less than 30 days) but still, it is expensive right now.

Did you try from Miami International to Miami, instead of Hollywood International? There are more International flights from and to MIA. I feel the pain using MIA, but it's our international airport.
