We're spending 2 wks in Italy. Flying into Venice, out of Palermo. I'm concerned about travel time and don't want to feel rushed with so much travel. Can we fly from a city to Palermo? Which city would be best, and what airline? Cost?????

Check Air One for flights from Rome to Palermo. I flew them last year and had no problems.

We also flew Air One from Rome to Palermo. It's a short 1+ hour flight, very easy. Paid about $150 each in 2006.
Air One is part of Lufthansa airlines....their short haul airline. Great service, lots of choices for times.
You can check this out on Lufthansa's website, or call your travel agent. I booked through United Airlines/Lufthansa here in the US before our trip in 06.
Be aware that Palermo's airport is tiny! There are cabs available to get to the center of town.
