Too many slip-and-falls have lead Venice to start replacing the Calatrava Bridge's slippery glass steps with stone.

I have to say that I rather like the Calatrava Bridge, although the geometry is pretty crap, ditto the glass slippery steps. But it is quite elegant.
I once had the privelage/exhaustion of helping a friend haul five Ikea Billy bookcases over said bridge, so I have mexed memories.
