As Acraven kindly suggested I should post a topic regarding a Dolomite/Friuli route that we hope to take in the Summer. My family and I are planning on going from Bolzano area in early summer over to the Carnic Alps in the Friulie area. We would like to stay within reasonable travelling distance of the Carnia Biathlon Centre, as we will visit here and roller ski, we would also like to do some Nordic walking as it's something we all enjoy doing, in this area, does anyone have any suggestions as to where to stay we are looking at self catering if possible? If we self cater how easy/hard is it to get food to cook with? We are travelling this leg of the journey by car and would like to travel the scenic route if possible, so some route suggestions would be very grateful. many thanks.
