Fiumicino to Trastevere?

Has anyone ridden the train from the airport to the Trastevere station? Or is there a metro line? The metro/rail maps are confusing; some list a stop & others don't. The trenitalia website doesn't list prices.

Instead of taking the Leonardo Express, which rockets you right to Termini station, you can take a regional commuter train (FM1 line, labelled Orte or Fara Sabina) that will stop right at Trastevere station. It's about half the price of the Express, there's one every 15 minutes (except Sundays), and it will only take 20-25 minutes to make the run. You can find the schedules at Trenitalia.com (use Fiumicino aeroporti and Rome as your origin and destination) or on the Fiumicino airport site at www.adr.it/content.asp?L=3&IdMen=199

Thanks, Norm. In looking at the map, it appears our Hotel Trastevere is a mile (or a little more) from the Trastevere station; so I'm thinking the quote I got from romecabs.com for 70 euros for 7 ppl from FCO is a great deal after a long flight. I like to do trains/metros when I can to avoid traffic tie-ups; but arriving on a Sat. morning, maybe the traffic won't be too bad.

If you're travelling as a seven person group then, yes, go the cab route....10 Euro per is pretty good!
