We will be returning a rental car to Fiumicino airport to then take Wizair to Budapest at noon on a Saturday in September. Hopefully someone can give me an idea how much time we will need to return the rental car in the airport and then to check in to Wizair? I assume we won't need the 3 hrs like an International flight requires? Also anyone know what terminal Wizair flys out of?

Last year we returned a Hertz car at the airport. It went just like any car return in the US. Follows the arrows, park it, unload it, some guy with a hand held device checks you in. We walking around the car taking a few pictures by then he hands us a receipt and we are off to the airport. About a ten min walk to the checkin counter. It was less than 30 but play it safe and plan on 30. If you are checking in late morning I would guess that an hour and half is pretty but have no experience with Wizair.
Frank's proposal sounds correct. You don't need to be there 3 hours ahead for intra-European flights, just inter-Continental.
