Using public transport rather than private shuttle, could anyone suggest how much time would be needed to travel between these two airports?
What about Venice Treviso? Is it conveniently accessible to Venice?
Sounds like you might be heading for a Ryanair flight. For the journey from FCO to Ciampino, you first take the Leonardo express into Rome Termini. From Rome Termini, you can catch a SITA bus outside to Ciampino airport. 6 Euro. CLICK HERE to see the schedule. Should take about an hour on the bus.
There is frequent bus transportation from Treviso airport to Venice-Piazzale Roma. See www.atvo.it
There was a direct bus between the airports, but the Rome airport website says it's not currently operating. It cost 5 euro and took 45 minutes. Monitor the airport website www.adr.it to see if service resumes. On the website, pick either airport and then go to the Getting There page.
