Fiumicino airport to hotel in March

My plane arrives at 10:50 a.m. on a Friday. What is the best way to get to my hotel (Hotel Paba) near the Forum? I will have a carry on back pack only. I read something in the RS Guide book about a shuttle?? Is this just from the airport to Termini station? Also, how much time should I plan this to take? Thanks!

Take the direct train from airport to the Termini station; 30 min, runs 2 or 3 per hour. From Termini, take the subway (there are 2 lines, get the right one) to the Colosseo stop.

Tiffany,
If you're just carrying on, you won't have to bother with taking the subway from the Termini station. We were just a few blocks closer to Termini (and one block over) and I wouldn't have been happy once I found out how close it really was to walk (had I taken a bus/taxi).
The Leonardo Express leaves Fiumicino every 30 minutes (30m ride). It takes a few minutes from terminal to train station. Go to an automated ticket machine and buy a ticket. If there's a train about to load, stamp your ticket in the yellow box, and board the train. There are a couple of stops along the way, but the ride will terminate in Termini.
Walk out of Termini towards where all the buses are parked and then cross the street to the left. The main street is Via Cavour. Just follow Via Cavour to your hotel. Another street will merge with it, coming from the left, but it's almost a straight shot. It'll take you about 15 minutes to walk. From the time you land; ~ 1.5h to hotel total.
