FitBit strap - need to buy one in Florence

Well of course my FitBit strap fell apart in Rome. Am off to Florence tomorrow and am wondering if anyone knows of a place one can buy a strap. I forget the name of the one I have but it's the very basic one. Pretty much steps and sleep and that's all. Any help would be appreciated. Am trying to use my steps to justify gelato every day. LOL

I do not really know about fitbit, but I see it in the Media World stores catalogue. There are two of them: one is in Novoli, bus #22 from piazza del Duomo or railway station, about 15-20 minutes by bus from the centre. The Media World is in a little shopping mall at the corner with viale Forlanini and not easy to spot if you do not know where it is.
Another one is at the Ponte a Greve much larger shopping mall, 20 minutes from the railway station with tram #1.

Try Meridiana in the Central Market area. He was able to replace a watch band for me last year, and price was very reasonable. If he doesn't have what you need, he can probably refer you to a shop that carries them. Store is on the corner of Via dell'Ariento and Via Sant'Antonino, or as you face the front of the Central Market, across the street from the front right corner.

Hi mytuffycat,
sorry for the delay in getting back to you ... I too am happily "addicted" to my fitbit (now using the Charge2 which is way better than it's predecessor). anyway back to your conundrum: a broken strap. No worries - just put the fitbit in your pocket and it will continue to record steps. after all one of the original fitbits came with a clip for a fixing it to your belt or pants top.
happy stepping.

P.S. when I am cycling, i put my fitbit into my pocket and use it in this fashion in lieu of walking
