Hi Guys,
Our first trip to Europe - 14 nights Venice, Florence, Rome - is coming up in 3 weeks after 6 months of planning!
My wife and I have a 1 o'clock reservation at Locanda Cipriani on Torcello on a Monday. Our plan is to spend the better part of the day in the lagoon visiting the islands.
Our thoughts are to visit Murano, Burano, San Michele and lunch on Torcello. We do plan on going to San Giorgio Maggiore on our first day to view the city from the bell tower. Our lagoon trip will be on a different day. Or maybe we should do the bell tower on our lagoon day?
Our questions - Should we start out early or tour the lagoon in the later part of the day? (I know this is probably personal preference but you might have some insight that we haven't considered) In what order should we visit? How much time should we allow on a particular island? Would we be better off skipping one of these islands? Or adding another ?
Also any points of interest (shops, etc) you might have.
Thanks, Dan
