First time to Naples

Anyone have any advice? I've been all through Italy north of Rome, and have FINALLY found someone willing to experience Naples with me...I have no idea where to stay -- any hotel recs (in a safe area).....restaurants, etc! Thanks!!

donna,

For a Hotel, you might consider This Hotel. I found it to be a "safe area", and the staff were wonderful. Hopefully you're travelling by train, as I don't believe there's any parking available in the immediate area. Have a look at the Web Cam for a "live" view of the street in front of the Hotel.

I'd have to check my records for the names of restaurants, but I've found that the hotel staff usually have good recommendations.

You'll probably need to take a Taxi to get to the Hotel, as it's not really within "walking distance". Be sure to read the "cautions" about Naples Taxis in the Guidebook.

Happy travels!
