First time to Italy - Part2

Hi everyone,

Absolutely love all the ideas and suggestions that I have received! I also love reading everyone's and getting helpful hints.

We will be in Rome/Florence/Venice and have almost every afternoon free to explore. My daughters have asked about beaches. I have done some research and have found the following:

  1. Rome -> Anzio (train 1 hour)
  2. Venice -> Lido (water taxi)

Any suggestions or ideas! Also are there any beaches near Florence?

There is also Ostia Lido near Roma, you could combine it with a visit to Ostia Antica.

Florence is farther inland, an hour and a half from Viareggio. I can’t imagine giving up one minute in Florence to travel to a beach experience and I love beaches.
