Our daughter is in Siena for her study abroad this summer. She got to see the first of two Palio today-what a race! She was in "the cheap seats", in the large crowd in the infield.
Here it is, less than two minutes and with English announcer-her neighboring Contrade won the race, it's a little noisy there tonight!

Thank you for sharing! In 2017 we were in Siena in the days leading up to Il Palio. We left two days before the race but we were fortunate enough to experience all of the celebrating leading up to the race. (Believe me there was a lot of celebrating.) In the video, you can see our apartment balcony that overlooked the piazza. Congratulazioni Giraffa!
