Firenzecards

If you buy the Firenzecards online, when/how do you make reservations at those museums that require one? For example, Cappella Brancacci has a “fast track booking obligation.” I know the day and time I wish to visit. Must I wait until my visit? The card instructions warns you not to activate until standing outside the sight, but doesn’t mention how to pre book.

You probably need to go onto the ticket site and book a "free ticket" so you get a reservation but don't have to pay for it and then present your card provide "payment" for entry.

From https://www.florenceartmuseums.com/brancacci-chapel/

TICKET PRICE
Full ticket: € 8,00
Reduced ticket: € 6,00
Guided visits and activities: € 5,00
€ 2,50 (residents of Florence metropolitan area)
Free ticket: –
Free admission: under the age of 18; disabled visitors and their companions; owners of the Firenze Card.

This is common in Venice where the cards tend to only offer a discount, rather than free admission, so you buy the discounted ticket on the website and then have to present the card.

The FAQ section of the Firenzecard website contains instructions on making a timed-entry reservation for Cappella Brancacci, the Uffizi and Accademia. See those under the "Use":

https://www.firenzecard.it/en/faq

You can (and should, IMHO) make these reservations before your visit, especially if that visit is soon.
Hope the website page helped.

I kindly thank you both. I must have missed the answer when I read the FAQs. I guess when you don't think you will find the answer--you won’t!

I wrote to the Cappella Brancacci last week offering to give them my credit information since their booking site, ticketettimusei.comune.fi.it, was not secure. Unfortunately I never heard back. That was before I saw the Firenzecard. The links you provided shows no available. It's would have been an unbelievable opportunity to see those frescoes up close. Darn-oh-darn (not the phase I was thinking!

I need to check the other museums that require reservations in order to determine if the Firenzecard is worth it for me.

Really Unfortunately, Next Week. They are sold out now for the entire time I'm there. I hope you are successful.

Of course, with Capella Brancacci, you can just go in during a mass, and see the Capella. That's what we did. You do need to be respectful, but it's a free option.

Oh, I wish I could snag that "one" remaining ticket but the other two in my party might have an objection. Believe me, I thought about ditching them for 30-minutes so I could take the tour!

The Cappella Brancacci is under renovations for the remainder of 2022. This tour allows groups of 10 to visit the site from scaffolding. Frescoes up close, wow.
