Firenze six hour drop in...

Hello - We're dropping by Firenze on a Thursday in October. Two adult, two teens. We arrive by train at 1015, depart 1650.

'Possible to store our carry on size backpacks at the stazione?

We will head to Academia first to see David. Do we need to buy advance tickets? If so, I'd imagine for 1115 entry...

We will then take Rick's "Renaissance Walk" and have lunch along the way. We won't enter Uffizi this visit.

Any advice? 'Anything you suggest we see in the triangle between station, Academia, and Ponte Vecchio?

Grazie

Absolutely

Yes. Be sure to allow time to check bags in and check bags out- could be a line

While the 11:15 Accademia time slot seems to make sense and is theoretically doable, that will, of course depend on the train’s on-time arrival. As Christine rightly notes, allow time for bag check-in and -out at the station. Sometimes lines are long (although likely not to be too bad in October). I’d recommend visiting the Duomo and Baptistery as they are easy to access in a brief timeframe, usually.
