Going to Florence, not sure what is better. I probably will just break even on the cost of the card over a 3 day period vs. individual admissions. Therefore is it just as easy to make reservations at the Uffizi and Academia as using the Fienze card. Thanks
You can reserve tickets at the Uffizi and Accademia web sites, there are many low-cost museums in Firenze.
If you are really going to break even then I'd get the Firenze card.
As Zoe said, it's not difficult to make reservations at the Uffizi/Accademia, and I think a person has to run awfully hard to break even on the card in three days. I know I couldn't do it. Central Florence is also not very large, and is fun to walk so we would have wasted the public transport piece of the card.
I vote for the Firenze Card because of the flexibility. If you stay longer at a previous site you are not late for the next one. It gives you the ability to change your mind or schedule.
The €72 Firenze Card no longer covers transportation, though it does now cover several additional sights (such as the Ferragamo shoe museum).
