Hi - I have been doing research on the firenze card. From what I can gather from the site, we wouldn't need to book a 'skip the lines' pass to any of the museums because they have a separate firenze line. Have any of you ever used this card and did you find the firenze line shorter, or was it still a long wait? If I read it correctly, it's just one card needed per family, then pay a child fee for any kids - if you used it as a family, did you just need one card, or two cards for the two different adults?
Thanks so much in advance for any advice or help.
Jen
See my response on the post you piggy-backed on alimalkin1's similar question.
I have used firenze card with family a couple of years ago. The adults (anyone over age 18) each need their own card. The kids get "tacked" on to the adult cards at no extra charge. You use the card to get in the "reserved tickets" line if there is a line at all. Plus, you skip the ticket buying lines. We used our cards extensively and got our full value out of them. If you use the firenze card system, I highly recommend that you get the RS book on Italy or Florence before your trip. Then, look up times attractions are open and the locations. That way, you can get the most "bang for the buck" out of your cards. I made a daily list based on this info. and we did a lot in a few days. It was great!
