Firenze Card/Reservations

I am finalizing the small details for our upcoming trip to Italy and my head is spinning a bit with all the information. If we purchase a Firenze card do I still need to get a reservations at the Uffizi and Accademia? I believe I read that, if you have the Firenze card, you don't need a reservation but still pay a €4 reservation fee, which can be paid on the spot. Does this mean you can go in any time? We are considering the Firenze card because we don't want to be tied to a tight schedule with a reservation. Doing enough of that in Rome.

Thank you in advance for your help.

If you have the Firenze card, you do not need a reservation for any of the museums. There will be a separate entrance for pass holders. There's nothing extra to pay. We bought our passes when we arrived in Florence at the TI across the square from the train station.

I believe that if the Uffizi or Academia reach capacity, they just hold the entrance lines until a certain number of people have exited.
