Firenze Card or Individual Reservations

Headed to Italy in the 2nd week of March. What is the preferred method for visiting the Accademia and Duomo and Uffizi. Will the Firenze card help me get past the lines or should I book a time at each place?

The card will allow you to skip ticket lines at the Uffizi and Accademia unless they're full to capacity and then everyone has to wait. The Duomo itself is free but even with the card, you have to make a reservation to climb the dome. This from the Firenze Card FAQ:

"You don't need to make any reservations with Firenzecard, except for the Dome (Cupola). For the Dome (Cupola)the booking is required - you have to make it at the ticket office in piazza San Giovanni 7/r after the collection of the free ticket. "

I don't know what other parts of the Duomo complex you wish to visit that have entry fees that the card covers but unless you have time for more attractions,I don't think it's a cost-effective option. Depending on if there are special exhibits at the Uffizi and Accademia, advance tickets shouldn't run you more than between € 12,00- 16,50 tops, including purchase fee, respectively.

A ticket for the entire Duomo complex can be purchased for €15 (reservations still apply for the dome).
