Hi!
If I buy the Firenze card, don't my under 18 kids still need to stand in the long line? Is it better for me to get the Amici degli Uffizi card for a family of four and we all go in at the same time?
What I want to avoid is buying a pass where I go in quickly but my kids don't
Here's the latest consensus among guides who have been to the Uffizzi recently.
*For the kids under 18 to get the free ticket, they should expect to wait in the ticket line. (It is pretty clear on the Uffizzi site that this category of youths need not be EU residents to get the free ticket. I think that's a recent clarification.)
*Even with the Firenze card, you may have to wait a bit to enter a popular spot like the Uffizzi, where they limit the number of people who enter at one time.
*The Firenze card has gotten pretty expensive at 72 euros. Are you really going to see that many musuems?
*It seems simpler to book reserved tickets ahead for your whole party at the Uffizzi and Academia, instead of using the card.
