Firenze card Accademia & Uffizi reservations

Hi,

I don't know if it would be helpful to anyone, but I'm going to Italy in mid-September. I decided to buy a Firenze card for my 4 nights in Florence (September 14-18). I just made my Accademia and Uffizi reservations yesterday and it was just in the nick of time. Luckily, they still had 1 opening in each time frame for each museum that I wanted.

I was a little surprised that it was that close to filling up for my dates and times two months away.

It also took me 3 tries to get through to reservations. The first two times my call got disconnected. The third time was a charm!

I just thought I would post this in case anyone else is waiting to book their reservations :)

Hello -

We are a party of 4 also travelling in mid-later September. Wonderin if you could help out with a few questions :
a) Can one person call and reserve for other family members who will also be Firenze card holders?
b) Is there a charge for this booking?
c) Do I need the firenze card before I call? Do They ask for a firenze card number or something along those lines? Or just name will do ?

Thank you Joby. I saw your post the other day and thought I better finalize my Florence itinerary ASAP, so I don't miss out on the time slots I am hoping for as I will also be purchasing the Firenze Card.

I am happy to report that I made my reservations via phone for both Accademia and Uffizi this morning. It went smoothly and I got through on the first try, with no wait time. I was able to book both of the time slots I wanted for on the same date in October.

I provided the operator with my selected date and times/first and last name. I was then given booking numbers and brief instructions on which gate/entrance/line to enter along with a time. I need to arrive at the Uffizi 15 minutes prior to ticket time. Just to be on the safe side I will arrive earlier at both. For entrance, I show my Firenze Card and booking number. Fingers crossed that goes smoothly.

Also note, you do not need to purchase the Firenze Card prior to making reservations. Before researching that, I was sure they'd want a card number.

Thank you Joby. Just reserved our spot for the Uffizi and Accademia for our November trip. One call and done! Hopefully it will all go smoothly when we arrive.
