Firenze card

Hi Everyone,
I'm going to Italy next week and am wondering if I should purchase the card online or buy it at the airport or the other places in the city. Any thoughts? Thank you so much! Also, I know the Roma Pass you can only buy in Rome, but are there any passes or tickets you can pre-buy for the Vatican? Thanks again!

We are thinking about buying the card, I'm not sure we will use it enough to warrant the $65 cost, but that being said, I'd recommend buying it in Florence. That way no issue with lost paperwork. It should take as long to buy it at the TI stand as it would to do it on line and print out a receipt to show. You have to stand in line anyway.... If we buy, we'll just buy when we get there.

We found the Firenze Card to break even for us. The Uffizi and Accademia have those reservation fee costs that quickly add up. Either way, buy it once there.
Yes, buy the Roma Pass once in Rome. As for the Vatican, there are online reservations you can make through their website. Hopefully, there are some slots still open. Otherwise, go in the afternoon. There will be very little waiting in line then (or join a tour group if you really want to skip the lines in the am).
