Does anyone know of good stores in either Rome or Florence to buy china? We are going there on our honeymoon and would love to find china there.
Or perhaps suggest some good flea markets.

Italy is not known for china...but you can buy the local ceramic dinnerware.
Deruta is the best known town for this, but every little hilltop town offers some local stuff.
I can tell you, it's very expensive, and even more so to have it shipped home...you aren't going to carry it back on the plane!
We usually buy one or two pieces and I hand carry it home.
Don't purchase in Florence or Rome, too expensive, buy what you like in Assisi, Orvieto, Deruta, etc. You can find the ceramics shop in every town.
Also, look for linens, Italian linens are beautiful. Easier to bring home, and also wonderful to own. Wonderful shops in Pienza and Montefalco!

I just wanted to suggest that when you & your husband decide on the special honeymoon purchases - ask the shopkeeper to take your photo holding or purchasing the item together. It will be a nice memento in your scrapbook & a lovely memeory to look back on.
