Finding a safe taxi company at Bologna airport

Ravenna is more than an hour away at the best of times from Bologna so you're essentially booking a 3 hour drive from a taxi driver which I think is too much to expect from a cab you pick up at the airport with no warning. It sounds like you are trying to book a private driver to meet you at the airport and take you to Ravenna which is something I think you should arrange - and probably pay for - in advance.

They list the fare to Florence airport at $231 and this is a bit further than Ravenna so that should give you some idea of cost.

Hopefully someone will have a good service in Bologna they can personally recommend but I wouldn't expect to be able to book a 80km+ (and return) trip at the curb in any airport.

Not sure a driver will be much quicker but it will be more expensive!

Tram to Bologna Centrale is 12 min
Then train to Ravenna about an hour, runs every 30 min
Regional train no need to purchase in advance

Another solution is a car-with-driver, called NCC in Italy. For a long route is cheaper than a taxi.

Is this taxi ride the proposed solution to your having to overnight at the airport, mentioned in your other post?

If so, suggest you make arrangements ahead of arrival for a 'middle of the night' service to Ravenna

Have you asked your lodging in Ravenna for a suggestion on how to get there at the time you would be traveling?

What I find on the Trenitalia website is that the latest Bologna to Ravenna departure is at 10:06 PM /// next departure is 5:55AM
