Finding a RS Italy guidebook in Rome

Hi, My friend who was joining me on the Heart of Italy tour had to cancel at the the last minute and did not bring the guidebook we were to share. I’ve been to three bookstore in Rome and two in Split trying to find any Italy guidebook in English but only found a DK Rome. Any suggestions? I’ve also emailed RS and asked at the Hotel Aberdeen, Rome if they have an extra copy, but they do not. Thanks for your help, Marina

Can you buy the ebook online and use that on your tablet or phone?

Marina,

As mentioned in the previous reply, if you're travelling with a PC, Mac, iPad, Kindle or a smartphone, you should be able to download the E-book version of the guidebook in a few minutes. The Kindle version is probably the easiest one, as they offer a free reader which will work on a variety of platforms.

An E-book is a bit less convenient to use than a paper copy, but in the circumstances it seems like the best option.

Good luck!

Hi Marina,

As suggested above, if you have a Phone, Kindle, or iPad, can you download the books?

If you will still be in Rome the next couple of days, have you tried or can you visit the following bookstores?

la Feltrinelli. There are quite a few in Rome. Google the name - addy & directions pop up

la Feltrinelli International (they could have more of an English section.)
Located on via Vittorio Emanuele, 84/86

Ancora, S.r.l. That is on via Conciliazione, 63
Vatican

Borri Books located at Termini Station
Piazza dei Cinquecento

Ibs+Libraccio
Via Nazionale, 254/255

All are located in Rome.

Good luck.

Feltrinelli is a good choice as the store at Termini.

Did you ask your hotel? Many RS hotels have guidebooks left behind by previus guests.
