We will be taking a day trip from Genoa to Final Ligure by train this summer. When we arrive I am hoping to go to Finalborgo for a few hours before we spend some time at the beach and possibly see more of Final Ligure. Since we do not have a vehicle I was wondering if there are means of transportation, Uber, Freenow, or taxis available to assist with the transportation? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!
The walled town center of Finalborgo is only 20 min walk from the FINALE LIGURE train station.
There might some taxi cabs in front of the station, but I'm not sure if they would be there always. There are probably very few in town.
No Uber in Italy (only Uber Black, a limo service, but only in major cities). FreeNow is just an app to summon regular taxicabs, not sure if used by taxicabs in Finale L. There are also city buses (according to my research online the buses from the station to the walled Finalborgo are #31 or #40). Not sure how frequently they run.
If you don't have mobility issues I'd walk the 20 min.
Google Maps for 'Finale Ligure Stazione' has photos or map pins showing several taxis based around the immediate station area. Riky Taxi, Finale Taxi, and Stefano Taxi at (+39) 379 2220 220
Finale Ligure is a small, very walkable town. The train station is near the sights. Beautiful beaches, shops and restaurants.
