Thanks for that info, FrankII ! I'll make sure to see this. I thought Matera was one of the most unique places I have ever visited!

Thanks for this heads-up Frank! Bet you $100 that the location scout will find a way to work in the unique, funky-boho 'Area 8' Caffe, maybe with a chase scene showing their iconic, white half-van-sticking-out-of-the-wall (used as a bar) in passing.

Past flix shot there: the latest Ben Hur; Wonder Woman, Passion of the Christ; The Gospel According to St. Matthew (the latter was shot in '64 and gives a good indication of just how run-down Matera was prior to its rejuvenation).

Very interesting. The James Bond movies seem to like using exotic locations in Italy, such as the roads along Lago di Garda, a Villa on Lago di Como, the marble quarries at Carrera, etc. Matera should provide an excellent backdrop for the action! I wonder who the villain will be in this one?
