I will be traveling to Rome later this year with my fiancee, who grew up in the Philippines. Is there a Filipino community in the Italian capital and is a place where Filipinos meet? Thank you.
I would start from Piazza Manila, a main square in the Flaminio district.
There are multiple Facebook groups specific to Filipino expats in Rome. Im sure they can point you in the right direction.
I think there is a filipino convent / guest house in Rome, that might be a useful contact for you. I came across it on monastery says several years ago.
When I wrote Piazzale Manila in my comment above, I was not being fictitious, given the name of the Piazza. The Flaminio district has the highest concentration of Filipinos in Rome and Piazzale Manila is indeed the main gathering location for that community.

There is also an area downtown where there are a few Filipino restaurants around Via Calatafimi where the local restaurateurs can probably point out other areas. The Filipino community in Rome is large, and in the 1970s and early 1980s Filipinos were by far the largest immigrant community in Italy, therefore there will be many other areas where they can be found. Many also used to meet near the Termini station, but I don’t know if that is still the case nowadays.
Amazing what I learn on this forum.
Fascinating.
Thank you, Roberto.
